About Us

We are here to help you get the pain relief and healing you are seeking along with maximum mobility and strength so you can live and lead the life you want.  We know that your pain and injury has probably taken over a significant part of your life, if not your whole life.  Our goal is that you get it back.

We are going to treat the whole you, not just the symptom of pain.  There is always an underlying cause(s).

Our primary practitioner:  Dr. Peter Lathrop

Dr. Lathrop has his Ph.D in neurophysiology and has several post doctorates as well.  He is what is called a Clinical Neurophysiologist and as such he helps people suffering with acute and chronic pain and the related soft tissue and musculoskeletal injuries to gain lasting pain relief and accelerated healing of the injury.  Injuries to necks, shoulders, backs, hips, knees, ankles – you name it.  It is the focus on the underlying cause – the injury, and healing the injury which is his passion and purpose in all his endeavors.

Throughout his career Dr. Lathrop has spent numerous years in clinical practice in San Diego with the Dynamic Health Institute, Industrial Medical Centers (now US Healthworks), Don Perry & Co – Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Centers, Blott Chiropractic, Harbor View Medical Center and Paradise Valley Hospital to name a few.

He specializes in the use of Microcurrent bioelectric signaling devices as well as SCENAR technology to generate healing.  He is known for achieving excellent results in patients.

Here is what a few of his patients have had to say – -

  • I am presently being treated by Dr. Lathrop for a work-related injury….I can tell you that Dr. Lathrop’s treatment thus far has given me more relief from pain than any other medical treatment I have received since being injured.  A.D. – San Diego
  • You truly have given me “back” my life with less and less pain each day.  For this I will be indebted to you.  Words can’t thank you enough!  L.B.  – San Diego

Besides his clinical work in pain treatment and soft tissue injury medicine Dr. Lathrop has co-developed several of the devices he uses in treatment – working with several different manufacturers over his career including Medtronic, Inc. (a global medical device manufacturer) and Monad – working with Dr. Thomas Wing, the father of Microcurrent therapy.  He has also received patents for his work in device design for treatment of injuries, viruses, and neurological disorders.

Dr. Lathrop received his Ph.D in Neurophysiology from the University of Brussels Roosevelt University Medical Center and two post doctoral degrees in Biochemistry and Virology from the University of Munich.  He received his Master of Science degree in Psychology from California State University, San Diego (now San Diego State University) and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from University of California, Berkeley.
